Description: Numeric overflow
Explanation: A mathematical formula is being performed and a number is trying to be dived by 0 or by a non number. Usually occurs with people that use RDC's. Clip users should be sure to have a man-hour rating in all jobs in a customer's File Maintenance
Places that it occurs:
I. In posting work/refreshing work bank
II. Printing Invoices
III. Various Reports
I. In posting work/refreshing work bank
Possible Solution:
A. Go through the database and delete the * 's out
Instructions:
1. Go to Files - Other Utilities - Dot Prompt
2. At the command line type Sele job and then hit Enter
3. Now type BROW and then hit Enter
4. Using the scroll button on the right hand side scroll through looking for * 's or any other inappropriate entry
5. If an * is found type in a number that is the crew and routing number combined
6. Hit Control-W at the same time to save your changes

Possible Solution:
A. Go through the database and delete the * 's out

1. Go to Files - Other Utilities - Dot Prompt
2. At the command line type Sele journal and then hit Enter
3. Now type BROW and then hit Enter
4. Scroll over to the right and look for the Mhrs column. Using the scroll button on the right hand side scroll down looking for * 's or any other inappropriate entry
5. If an * is found type in a number that is the approximate hours spent on the job
6. Hit Control-W at the same time to save your changes
