Description: Cannot write to a read only file
Explanation: A files attributes have been changed to Read Only. Occurs if the program was copied to a CD-ROM then copied back onto the hard drive. When a file is saved to a CD-ROM it automatically becomes a Read Only file.
Places that it occurs:
I. Various - depending on which file is Read Only
Possible Solution:
A. Change all files from Read Only
Instructions:
1. Close Clip
2. Go to Windows Explorer and find the ClipClas or Clippro folder.
3. Open the first folder. All the files should be listed on the right side of the screen
4. Select the first file by clicking on it with the mouse. It now should be highlighted.
5. Press and hold the Shift key on your keyboard
6. Click on the last file in the list. All the files should now be highlighted
7. Let go of the Shift key
8. Position you mouse over the top off any of the highlighted area
9. Right click your mouse
10. Select Properties
11. Uncheck the box that says Read Only
12. Select Apply
13. Do this same procedure for each folder
14. This same procedure must be done for the files that are located in the ClipPro/ClipClas folder
15. Restart Clip and test
